“While a stunning first impression is not the same thing as love at first sight, it surely is an invitation to consider the matter.” (Anonymous)

Welcome to Marlborough’s newly updated website! Hopefully, you’ll find it reflects the true personality of our town while providing all the important local information. We hope it will be a place you’ll want to visit often.

I cannot emphasize this enough...LOCK YOUR HOME and LOCK YOUR CARS!

Monday, there was another break in, this time in broad daylight at a home in a neighborhood with houses fairly close together that backs onto Rt 2.

The owner was at home, but (thankfully) was not hurt. The robber stole a few inexpensive watches and a few other items of minimal value. State police were called and searched the area with a canine tracker, and they were able to track the scent to a fence running alongside the highway.

Afterward, another resident stopped by Town Hall to report that his car (unlocked and in the driveway) had been ransacked about 5 hours earlier - probably just prior to when the home was burglarized.

If your car or home is broken into or ransacked, PLEASE CALL 911 immediately! Do not wait. Do not post on Facebook. Do not call Town Hall. CALL 911!

If you see something suspicious or that just doesn't look right, please call Troop K to report it at the non-emergency number at (860)465-5400 (press 7 for a trooper).

The police can't do it alone...we need your help!

Amy Traversa, First Selectman
