CT-DOT and DEEP have given notice of an issue with paint chipping off some bridges and overpasses in the State. They are asking residents to keep their eyes open for the chipping paint, most specifically on the RT 2 overpasses over West Rd and South Main near Exits 12 and 13. Please do not attempt to pick up the chips, if found. Please report any chipping to DPW at (860)295-6229. They will report it to the State for proper cleanup and remediation.
