Civil Preparedness

We are dedicated to emergency preparedness for all residents of the Town of Marlborough, including our business partners and surrounding communities.

BE PREPARED

There are several things you can do for your family to be safe in the event of an emergency.

MAKE A PLAN

It is never too soon to have an emergency plan, but it can be too late.  Don’t wait!  Preparing an emergency kit, identifying safe shelter, knowing how to evacuate, and making sure you can receive emergency alerts are a good start.  We are here to help!

EmerPrepGuidepdf.pdf (ct.gov)  Here is a guide that will help you plan for each of the four elements

Make A Kit

Emergency Checklist Overview (ct.gov)  Prepare the kit that fits your needs.

Plan ahead

Emergency Preparedness Checklist (ct.gov)  Have a plan that is ready to go.  Exercise that plan regularly so that all members of your family know what to do.

Evacuate

Know Your Zone-Evacuation Maps (ct.gov)  The Town of Marlborough will open Warming centers and cooling centers for residents that will also allow you to charge your phones in the event of an emergency.

Get alerts!

Connecticut Emergency Alerting and Notification Systems  sign up to receive alerts for emergencies that happen in your area.  The Town of Marlborough will post alerts on the town Facebook page.  Be sure to join that page.  Town of Marlborough | Marlborough CT | Facebook
