July 24, 2018

Sometime during the overnight hours last night a number of vehicles were gone through in the Marlborough, Hebron and Glastonbury area.
Reported in Marlborough were only two vehicles on Buckboard Lane and Hemlock Drive, however Hebron had reported upwards of 12-15 vehicles gone through and one vehicle stolen. Amongst the reports the following roads were targeted: West Street, Martin Road, Olde Hall, Karen Circle, Charles Lane, Hills Lane, Jennifer Drive.
All except for one of the vehicles were left unlocked and the stolen vehicle left unlocked with the keys inside. Force was used on one vehicle in Hebron, a passenger side window was smashed to retrieve a visible purse left on the passenger seat.
East Hartford Police was involved in a police pursuit with a stolen Acura MDX that was believed to be involved with the Glastonbury thefts and may also have been involved in our area.
The majority of our citizens have taken pro-active steps by locking their cars and removing valuables that are visible from the outside. Please spread the word, locking up is the first simple step. There will be midnight patrols looking for these type of offenses however any suspicious activity needs to be immediately reported by dialing 911 so police are able to respond in time.
